Gareth Widdop is set to miss England’s rugby league Test with Samoa next week after suffering a knee injury.
Widdop was taken from the field in the first half of St George Illawarra’s 13-12 Anzac Day NRL loss to the Sydney Roosters, and did not return.
He is suspected to have suffered a medial ligament strain in his left knee, and is set for an extensive period on the sideline.
