Queensland playmaker Johnathan Thurston is confident Justin Hodges and Greg Inglis will bounce back despite the star centres again being notable absentees at a Maroon session on Friday.
Hodges (foot) and Inglis (virus) did not take part in a pool session however in encouraging signs veteran Billy Slater (shoulder) appears to be recovering well ahead of Wednesday night’s State of Origin opener in Sydney.
“I am hearing they (Hodges and Inglis) will be right to train the next couple of days,” said Thurston of a Queensland side already reeling from the loss of bench utility Daly Cherry-Evans (shoulder).
