Rookie playmaker Ashley Taylor will be thrown into the deep end when he replaces Brisbane halfback Ben Hunt in Thursday night’s NRL clash with Melbourne at Suncorp Stadium.
Junior Kangaroos No.7 Taylor, 20, will replace Hunt who has withdrawn after failing to recover from a cork suffered at Monday’s training session.
“It’s a great opportunity for him. I don’t know about a big call – he has all the skills, we will see what he does with them tomorrow night,” Broncos coach Wayne Bennett said of Taylor, who leaves for the Titans next season.
