Hornby to call time on Dragons NRL career

St George Illawarra skipper Ben Hornby on Tuesday morning will announce his retirement from the NRL at the end of the season.

The halfback, who captained the joint-venture to their first grand-final success in 2010, debuted in 2000 and has played more than 270 games for the Dragons.

The 32-year-old will front the media at 1100 (AEST) alongside coach Steve Price and chief executive Peter Doust.

He becomes the second player from the 2010 side to call time on his career,with Dean Young also quitting at the end of the season.
