Queensland centre Justin Hodges has taken part in the Maroons’ first training session in the build-up to next Wednesday night’s first State of Origin game in Melbourne.
The Brisbane strike centre entered Origin camp earlier in the week under an injury cloud but surprisingly completed Queensland’s 90-minute training session at Xavier College in Melbourne on Wednesday afternoon.
But while Hodges ran with the side, giant Canberra prop Dave Shillington sat out training with a virus.
Bookmakers today reported Queensland were heavy $1.48 favourites to go one up in the series with NSW drifting out to $2.68 outsiders.
Greg Inglis can pass Dale Shearer as Queensland’s all-time leading tryscorer if he gets across the line for the 13th time in his 16th Origin.
