Hindmarsh to retire after 2012 NRL season

Parramatta stalwart Nathan Hindmarsh is set to announce his retirement from the NRL at the end of the season.

News Limited has reported that Hindmarsh will release a video later on Thursday explaining why he’s decided to quit.

Hindmarsh, 32, has played 310 games for the Eels – his only club and also represented NSW 17 times and played 22 Tests for Australia.

However, a premiership has eluded him, with the workaholic back-rower being part of two losing grand final sides in 2001 and 2009,

The winless Eels face Manly on Saturday night against at Parramatta Stadium.
