Harrison, Lussick face NRL bans

Gold Coast’s Ashley Harrison and Manly’s Darcy Lussick face one week suspensions after being charged by the NRL match review committee on Monday.

Harrison faces a grade one careless high tackle charge for his shot on Sea Eagle Vic Mauro in Saturday night’s upset victory by the Titans, while Lussick is up for a grade one dangerous throw on David Mead from the same match.

Manly second-rower Jamie Buhrer was also hit with a grade one dangerous throw for his involvement in the Mead tackle, but will escape suspension with an early guilty plea due to having no prior offences.

That leaves Buhrer free to make his representative debut for City in Sunday’s clash with Country in Mudgee.

Titans centre Jamal Idris will also avoid suspension with an early guilty plea, after being charged for his grade one careless high tackle on Manly captain Jamie Lyon.

North Queensland prop Ashton Sims copped a grade one striking charge for a hit on Sydney Roosters youngster Jack Bosden, but will also escape suspension with an early plea.
