South Sydney forward George Burgess will miss his team’s next four NRL matches for shoulder charging Brisbane’s Anthony Milford after taking an early guilty plea.
Burgess was slapped with a grade-two charge for his 63rd-minute hit on the Broncos playmaker in South Sydney controversial one-point loss at ANZ Stadium on Friday night.
The Englishman would have risked a five-game ban had he chosen to fight the charge, and he’ll now miss games against Manly, Wests Tigers, Melbourne and Parramatta.
