Gagai leaves Qld training early

Winger Dane Gagai has left Queensland training early after taking part in light duties as he recovers from a quad strain ahead of next week’s State of Origin game two.

North Queensland flyer Kyle Feldt had a run with the Maroons team on Thursday, with halfback Cooper Cronk – who overcame a rolled ankle to play Origin I – confident Gagai would prove his fitness for next week.

“I think he is in a better situation than I was,” Cronk said.
