Foran tweaks hamstring in warm-up

Kieran Foran has been ruled out of what was to be his NRL return after injuring his hamstring in the Warriors’ warm-up before their clash with St George Illawarra on Sunday.

Foran was set to play his first NRL game in 300 days but after being named to start at five-eighth, the controversial playmaker was ruled out minutes before kick-off.

He hasn’t played since May last year when he was released from his contract with Parramatta before being offered a lifeline by the Warriors.

Foran was made to sit out the first two rounds by the NRL to satisfy the governing body he had overcome his personal problems, and missed last week’s loss to Canterbury due to a shoulder injury.
