Farah told he faces reserve grade in 2016

West Tigers skipper Robbie Farah says he’s been told he’ll be playing reserve grade next NRL season if he chooses to stay after being granted permission to look for another club.

Farah, who has been at the Tigers since 2003, said he was disappointed to be told by coach Jason Taylor on Tuesday he could play elsewhere next season and he wouldn’t be leaving without a fight.

“It has to be on my terms as well,” said Farah, who still has two years to run on his contract.

The 31-year-old said he had a feeling for the past few weeks the news was coming due to the club’s well-publicised salary cap issues.

However he was disappointed to have been told so late in the season, when other clubs’ playing rosters are mostly full.
