Farah expects to play for City RL

City Origin captain Robbie Farah is confident he will be fit to play against Country in Mudgee after being concussed in the Wests Tigers NRL game on Sunday.

Hooker Farah said on Monday he had a bit of a headache and a sore neck, but was pretty confident he would play the representative fixture.

“I’m obviously not the best this morning, but I’d pulled up allright, my memory is fine,” Farah said.

“I’ll just have a few days off and see how I am later in the week.

“We won’t know until I get out there and do a little bit of training, but at the moment I will just keep the feet up for a couple of days and give myself some good time to recover and then train with the boys later on.

“If anything does come up then we will discuss it later, but at this stage we haven’t even discussed me not playing.”

With State of Origin places on the line, Farah didn’t want to risk going into Sunday’s game at less than full capacity.

“I’ve got to make sure I’m one hundred per cent right to go out there and play the best I can, because I don’t want to go out there and play like I’m busted and ruin my chances.”

Farah said while he thought NSW coach Ricky Stuart might have already have settled on a lot of his Origin side, he thought there were probably still a few contentious positions up for grabs.
