Robbie Farah has been banned from flying to NSW’s Coffs Harbour base on Wednesday due to regulations that ban passengers from travelling within 24 hours of hand surgery.
Farah was due to fly mid-Wednesday afternoon but was prevented from boarding a Virgin Australia flight after going under the knife on Tuesday.
Blues officials were left scrambling trying to gain a medical clearance for Farah to fly as soon as possible.
The NSW hooker is rated a 50/50 chance to play in State of Origin III at Suncorp Stadium next week.
