Ennis trains with the Blues

Back-up hooker Michael Ennis has trained with NSW at their Coffs Harbour base after flying into the northern NSW location on Thursday morning.

Ennis participated in a number of sprints and ball-handling drills in the warm and sunny conditions as Robbie Farah watched on from the sidelines with his injured hand in a splint.

Despite being hit with a one-match suspension at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night, Ennis is eligible for State of Origin III next week.

Farah remains a 50/50 proposition to play at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, after undergoing surgery on a fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his right hand on Tuesday.

The Blues rake returned to Coffs Harbour late on Wednesday night, after being denied permission to board a flight mid-afternoon due to regulations prohibiting passengers from doing so within 24 hours of having a general anaesthetic.

Skipper Paul Gallen trained with his side, but still appeared affected by the rib injury he picked up in Origin II. However Gallen is not in doubt for the Origin decider.

Coach Laurie Daley could leave a final decision on Farah up until an hour before kick-off on Wednesday, when he is required to name his team.
