Eels’ Hayne recovers from shoulder injury

Parramatta skipper Nathan Hindmarsh and fullback Jarryd Hayne have been named in a full strength Eels side for Friday’s NRL trial match against Penrith.

Hayne has been struggling with a shoulder problem sustained in training but has been cleared to take on the Panthers at Centrebet Stadium.

Hindmarsh was left out of last week’s encounter with Wests Tigers after injuring his eye in the NRL All Stars match on the Gold Coast.

New signing Willie Tonga is still unavailable because of the torn pectoral muscle he sustained in the Kangaroos Four Nations tour of the UK.

Team: Jarryd Hayne, Luke Burt, Ryan Morgan, Esi Tonga, Ken Sio, Ben Roberts, Chris Sandow, Tim Mannah, Matt Keating, Mitchell Allgood, Nathan Hindmarsh, Ben Smith, Justin Horo. Interchange: Casey McGuire, Taulima Tautai, Fuifui Moimoi, Justin Poore, Joseph Paulo.
