South Sydney co-captain Michael Crocker will be free to face Canterbury on Friday if he takes an early guilty plea after being hit with a grade one dangerous contact charge.
Crocker was put on report for the challenge on Wests Tigers fullback Tim Moltzen in the first half of his NRL side’s 17-16 golden point win at Allianz Stadium on Sunday.
Gold Coast forward Bodene Thompson will also escape suspension if he pleads guilty to a grade one dangerous contact charge against Canterbury’s Frank Pritchard.
Parramatta’s Reni Maitua and Melbourne’s Anthony Quinn will not miss matches after being sanctioned for careless tackle charges.
Quinn was put on report twice for challenges on Newcastle’s Junior Sau, but the charges do not carry enough points to warrant a suspension.
