Rookie St George Illawarra coach Steve Price will give his big guns their first hit-out of 2012 on Saturday night when the Dragons take on North Queensland in Perth.

Price rested his senior players for Saturday night’s opening trial loss to Canterbury in Wollongong – a barely recognisable Dragons outfit going down 28-18.

NRL All-Stars winger Jason Nightingale is the only one of the Dragons representative players who will not make the trip west to take on the Cowboys.

Skipper Ben Hornby, who pulled out of the All-Stars clash due to a thigh strain, was named in the 25-man squad.

The Dragons fly out for the nib Stadium match on Tuesday.
