Dragons re-sign Fijian flyer

St George Illawarra have re-signed Fijian flyer Eto Nabuli until the end of the 2016 NRL season.

Nabuli made his debut for the Dragons in round 1 this year after coming to the club from Penrith.

He was famously scouted by league greats Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler while working as a porter in a Fijian hotel.

“I am very pleased to be able to continue my development here at the Dragons,” Nabuli said.

“Head coach Paul McGregor and the coaching staff have helped me to improve as a player and I look forward to continuing to represent the club.”

Dragons recruitment manager Peter Mulholland said Nabuli, who has played two internationals for his native Fiji, had made great strides during his 10 appearances for the Dragons this year.

“Eto is a very strong and exciting player who has really benefited from a complete pre-season with the club,” Mulholland said.

“He has demonstrated the right attitude to the way he conducts himself at training and his efforts have been rewarded with the number of first-grade games he has played so far this season.”
