Douglas charged but escapes NRL ban

Gold Coast prop Luke Douglas will be free to play this weekend despite being the only player charged by the NRL match review committee.

Douglas received a grade one careless high tackle charge for his 63rd minute tackle on Warriors back-rower Feleti Mateo on Saturday night.

The infringement attracted only a 75-point penalty, which will be reduced to 56 points if he pleads guilty.

The Titans, with just one win from their opening four games, host Canterbury at Skilled Park on Sunday.
