Dogged Knights winger Ross retires

Newcastle have announced popular winger Nathan Ross’ retirement from the NRL because of a groin injury.

Ross will be medically retired after failing to recover following off-season surgery the club confirmed on Tuesday.

“It got to a stage where I couldn’t get out of my car, struggled to walk and pick up my kids without pain. This decision is about putting my health and my family first,” Ross said.
