Ben Cummins and Matt Cecchin have been named as the referees for next Wednesday’s State of Origin opener in Melbourne.
The match will be Cummins’ second Origin, after he officiated in game two of last year’s series.
It will be the first time Cecchin has refereed in Origin and comes on the back of his appointment in the Four Nations final in Leeds.
