Valentine Holmes is reportedly set to quit the NRL to try his luck at making the NFL.

Holmes has told Cronulla he hopes to move to America to follow in the footsteps of Jarryd Hayne and attempt to make it in American football, according to News Corp.

The Queensland and Australian representative is signed with the Sharks until 2019 and had previously travelled to the US to trial in front of scouts and agents.
