Consecutive heavy defeats — including last week’s 40-10 loss to the Warriors — have seen the Sharks’ top-four hopes wobble, though they remain fifth on the ladder.

The Dragons are also licking their wounds after a 56-6 thrashing by the Dolphins and face a key chance to draw level on points with their neighbours. Origin and injury absences will test their depth, with Valentine Holmes, Christian Tuipulotu and Raymond Faitala-Mariner all unavailable.
