Cronk outside chance to play against Dogs

Star halfback Cooper Cronk remains an outside chance of returning for the Melbourne Storm in their Monday night NRL clash with the Bulldogs.

Storm coach Craig Bellamy says Cronk’s recovery from knee surgery is progressing well, although he’s yet to resume training with the side.

Bellamy said Cronk would be given every chance to play in the Belmore Sports Ground clash.

Cronk’s return would also be a boon to Queensland ahead of the State of Origin decider on July 8, with Daly Cherry-Evans having struggled in Cronk’s place in game two at the MCG.
