Canberra have announced the re-signing of Jarrod Croker for a further two seasons.
The goal-kicking centre scored the winning try and conversion to seal a dramatic win over the Sydney Roosters last Sunday and is now fourth on the Raiders’ all-time point scoring list.
Croker has scored 590 points for the Green Machine, sitting behind David Furner (1218), Clinton Schifcofske (1052) and Mal Meninga (864).
“The Raiders are the club where I started in the juniors and have made my way up into first grade and I love pulling on the green jersey every week,” Croker said.
“To be able to sign a new deal is a great thing for me and I can concentrate on putting in for the team I love playing for each week.
“It’s been a great week but we know we have to back it up from last week and beat the Warriors on Saturday.”
Raiders CEO Don Furner said it was great to have another local product committing to the club.
“We’re thrilled to have Jarrod re-sign with the club, he’s a local junior and a wonderful role model for us as a club,” Furner said.
“Jarrod is the perfect example of what young players coming through the grades should be working towards and he has the potential to finish his career as one of the greats of the club.”
