North Queensland have finally overcome their mental struggles in winning away from Townsville, coach Paul Green has declared ahead of Saturday’s NRL preliminary final in Melbourne.

The Cowboys’ inability in previous seasons to win away from home has resulted in them falling short of their first premiership on a number of occasions. And, they have won just two from 11 at AAMI Park.

But North Queensland’s 9-3 regular-season away record was the best in the NRL.

This is proof, Green says, they are in a good position ahead of their do-or-die clash with the Storm.
