Trent Barrett is reluctantly remaining tight-lipped on his coaching future due to a legal muzzle.

The 40-year-old refused to buy into speculation he is ready to walk out on the final two years of his Sea Eagles contract at the end of the season.

“For legal reasons, I can’t answer those sort of questions today. I’d certainly like to be able to. Out of respect to the club, I don’t want to sit here and say too much,” Barrett told reporters at his weekly press conference on Thursday.
