The Bulldogs dominated the Dragons, scoring through Sam Perrett in the fifth minute before going on to score another three unanswered first half tries including two to Tim Lafai.

When play resumed, Lafai crossed for his third of the match within four minutes with Josh Reynolds and Greg Eastwood each crossing to round out the Dog’s demolition.

Only a consolation try to the Dragon’s Brett Morris prevented a shut-out.

It is hard to find a chink in the Dog’s armour at the moment with solid performance being produced right across the park. A string of close and hard fought wins has them full of self belief and the benchmark of the competition.

The Warriors were not travelling well when they headed to Melbourne in round 8, having only won two of their seven games however they produced a big upset to walk away with the two much-needed competition points. Most importantly, they consolidated that win with a rout of the Canberra Raiders last week.

The Warriors ran in nine tries and enjoyed each and every one of them. The two wins, achieved in widely various manners, stands them in good stead as they prepare to take on the Dogs, the team who snatched an improbable victory from them back in round 6 21 – 20.

It was the third win on the trot for the Bulldogs over the Warriors but in the last two encounters, they’ve had to come from behind at the half-time break and have only just snuck home.

Where and when: Waikato Stadium, Sunday May 18, 4pm

The Warriors will be well prepared for this and are one of the few times that can match the size of the daunting Bulldogs pack.

With Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson in good form and coming off two tries and a perfect nine from nine off the boot last week, expect the Warriors to offer up some stiff competition.
