The Raiders, after heavy losses to Brisbane and Cronulla, rallied from 20-0 to beat Manly in Round 9 before enjoying a bye. Elliott Whitehead was inspirational, and fill-in halfback Kaeo Weekes provided fresh playmaking hope for Fogarty’s three-month absence. Jordan Rapana returns at fullback, pushing Albert Hopoate out.
The 4-5 Bulldogs have mixed solid wins with gutsy losses, with victories over the Knights and Tigers bookended by narrow defeats to the Storm and Panthers. Matt Burton’s resurgence at five-eighth has been a highlight.
Canterbury has lost eight straight to the Raiders, including Magic Round thrillers in 2022 (20-18) and 2023 (34-30). The Raiders also won 36-24 at home late last season.
