Broncos wary of turmoil-hit Manly

Brisbane is anticipating a strong on-field response from Manly following the sacking of coach Geoff Toovey, says Broncos playmaker Ben Hunt.

Toovey will helm the Sea Eagles for the rest of the NRL season, but the club announced on Tuesday that Trent Barrett will take over as coach from next year.

The Broncos have a chance to all but end Manly’s finals hopes when the two sides meet at Brookvale Oval on Saturday night, but Hunt expects the Sea Eagles to be galvanised by the turmoil of the past week.

“They always come out and play good football and this will be inspiration for them to come out and play for their coach,” Hunt said.
