Brisbane have played down injury concerns ahead of Thursday night’s NRL clash in Melbourne.
Still smarting from last round’s epic extra-time loss to North Queensland, the Broncos are sweating on winger Jordan Kahu (thigh), utility forward Tevita Pangai Jnr (hamstring) and Test backrower Matt Gillett (concussion).
All four trained away from the main group on Monday.
Kahu appeared to be the biggest concern with ex-Titans flyer David Mead training on the wing on Monday.
But lock Josh McGuire believed everyone would take their place against a Melbourne side expected to welcome back Billy Slater from injury.
“I am pretty sure they will be fine. It is just precautionary (training away from the group) with a short turnaround,” said McGuire, who admitted to being sore after the brutal Cowboys clash.
