Broncos’ Parker calls time on NRL career

Brisbane captain Corey Parker has announced he will retire at the end of the 2016 NRL season.

The 34-year-old Parker is playing in his 16th season and has amassed 336 games, placing him equal fourth with Brad Fittler on the all-time list for matches played.

“This day was always going to come, it does for everyone. You never know how you’re going to react when it gets here,” Parker said on Monday.
