Brisbane forward Josh McGuire says Wayne Bennett is even hungrier to guide the Broncos to their seventh NRL title after their heartbreaking 2015 grand final loss.
Queensland prop McGuire – back from an Achilles injury that ruined last season – also welcomed talk that off-contract Bennett want to extend his tenure another two seasons.
“Wayne has always got that hunger to win – I think that (loss) has only made him hungrier,” McGuire said.
Brisbane open their season at Parramatta on Thursday night.
