ANZ and Allianz to be refurbished: Baird

The stadium debate is finally over with NSW Premier Mike Baird announcing the government will spend $1.6 billion on refurbishing both ANZ Stadium and Allianz Stadium.

The knockdown and rebuild of a venue in Parramatta will first be built as part of a stadia strategy unveiled on Thursday at Homebush.

The agreement between the government and a number of the nation’s sporting codes includes 20 years of NRL grand finals and State of Origin matches, 10 years of rugby’s Bledisloe Cup and a Socceroos and Matildas game every year.
