The expectations set for both teams this season were a lot a higher than what their current competition positions indicate.
The Tigers clung to eighth spot with a big win over last placed Parramatta on Monday night whilst the Dragons are in 12th position on 22 competition points – equal with the Titans, Knights and Raiders. A lose virtually spells the end of the season for the Dragons.
In round three this season it was a comprehensive victory to the Dragons 36-12.
Both teams are 2-2 over the past month and proving difficulty teams for punters to get a handle on. It’s been seven rounds since either side put together consecutive wins.

Saints have only one win from eight starts away from home this year and will need to score more than their current average points per game (15) to be competitive against the Tigers who average 22.
Jamie Soward returns to the bench after being dropped last week and his kicking game was sorely missed last week in the Saints loss to the Roosters (26-10).
Whilst the record of teams backing up from a Monday night game is not flash, the big win will do the world of good for the Tigers confidence and when this is up, they produce their best.
