Since this market came out a few days ago, it has raised all sorts of questions over whether the depleted 49ers should be favoured over a bad Bears team.

Justified or not, the Bears status as outsiders makes them a decent value play in this game.

They executed a mercy firing on Matt Eberflus after their loss in Detroit, perhaps to stave off the lingering mutiny in the locker room and will have highly regarded offensive coach Thomas Brown running the show.

Meanwhile San Francisco has sent Christian McCaffrey back to injured reserve and he will be joined by his backup Jordan Mason.

That puts even more pressure on Brock Purdy, who has not been playing all that well lately and he could be found out.
