The 8-3 Seattle Seahawks and 4-7 New York Giants lead their respective NFC divisions despite their disparate 2020 records.
After winning just one of their first eight, the Giants have surged to the top of the weak NFC East courtesy of three straight victories over fellow battlers Washington (23-20), Philadelphia (27-17) and Cincinnati (19-17). The Giants’ primary concern is QB Daniel Jones’ hamstring injury, which could see Colt McCoy directing the offence against Seattle.
After a rocky mid-season patch, the Seahawks have put away the Cardinals (28-21) and Eagles (23-17) in the past fortnight. What they lack in ruthless efficiency – particularly on defence – they make up for in flair and character, with Russell Wilson, who has 31 TD passes, enjoying a vintage season.
The Seahawks have won their last four against the Giants by 11-plus margins. Given the doubt around Jones, a fifth straight double-digit result looks likely as Seattle aim to keep the Rams and Cardinals at bay in the NFC West.
