Even though they are a team that with a history of failing to live up to the hype, the Chargers have fallen in a heap much earlier than anyone expected.

Brandon Staley’s outburst following their loss to Green Bay last week set off all sorts of alarms and the Chargers look like they are ready to collapse in the home stretch and start over with a new coach in 2024.

Baltimore on the other hand is the best team in the AFC, Lamar Jackson is putting himself into MVP favouritism and they know a win before their Week 13 bye would put them in control of the top seed in the conference.

Quite simply this is a game they can’t afford to lose if they want to be in position to go on a Super Bowl run, and I can’t see Harbaugh, Jackson and that defence letting it slip against a broken opponent.
