The recent hurricane in Louisiana has seen this game moved from New Orleans to Jacksonville, much to the chagrin of Saints fans who were hoping to pack the Superdome for the first time in a long while.

The Packers should be counting their blessings knowing they won’t have to face one of the toughest road environments in the NFL, not that they weren’t capable of handling a raucous crowd, of course.

After what has been a long and draining offseason, Matt LaFleur and company will be eager to pick up where they left off last year before the season came to a cruel end against the Bucs in the NFC Championship Game.

With Aaron Rodgers back for at least one more year, the Packers are again one of the favourites to win the NFC Championship, and they appear a good bet to kick their campaign off with a win against a very questionable-looking Saints team.

With Drew Brees announcing his retirement in March, the Saints will now turn over a new leaf with Jameis Winston at quarterback.

The former Buccaneer tends to draw a bad rap from fans, but on his day, Winston is capable of airing it out against some of the top defences in the league – if you can live with a few interceptions here and there.

Unfortunately, Winston will be without one of his top weapons in Michael Thomas for the first six weeks– leaving the bulk of the work in the hands of Alvin Kamara and Marquez Callaway.

The Packers, meanwhile, are one of the healthiest teams heading into the season, and there’s no doubt the offence is going to involve even more wrinkles than it did last year.

This game will largely boil down to who can handle the 32-degree heat in Jacksonville, but with weapons to burn, the Packers have a big edge on neutral turf.
