The Bucs are the short-priced favourites to open their title defence with a win over the Cowboys on Friday.

Tampa Bay’s offence ranked third in points scored last year on the way to a stunning 31-9 Super Bowl win over the Chiefs, and it’s fair to say not much has changed with Tom Brady’s supporting cast of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Gronk all returning for another year.

The Cowboys, meanwhile, head into this game with a huge question mark over them after Dak Prescott suffered a minor shoulder injury during training camp.

Prescott didn’t take a single snap during the preseason as a precaution, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s a little rusty after playing only five games last season before his gruesome ankle injury took place.

The Cowboys will probably look to feed Ezekiel Elliott the ball early and often, but nothing is going to come easy against a Bucs defence that allowed the fewest rushing yards last year.

All in all, the Bucs look the much better side on both sides of the ball, and the -7.5 spread might be a little generous.
