Adelaide’s Clipsal 500 will be the first of five V8 Supercar events that will shift to a twilight format in 2014.

Country music star Keith Urban is also set to headline one of the after-race concerts in Adelaide.

South Australian Sports Minister Leon Bignell has confirmed Mr Urban’s appearance and says the twilight races will be something different for fans.

He says the full announcement of the Adelaide schedule will be made on Thursday but the state government expects the racing to finish about 8pm (CDST) each day.

“Each year we always try to change things around a bit to make it more exciting,” the minister told ABC radio on Wednesday.

The Clipsal 500 will be staged around the Adelaide street circuit from February 27 to March 2.
