Daniel Riccairdo has put his Red Bull on the front row of the grid for the Chinese Formula One Grand Prix.

The Australian driver only bested by the flying Mercedes of championship leader, Germany’s Nico Rosberg.

Rosberg recorded a time of 1:35.402, while Ricciardo was .515 seconds behind in second place.

The Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel will both start from the second row of the grid.

Defending world champion Lewis Hamilton continued his horror start to the year, suffering engine problems and will start the race from last on the grid.
