Ford young gun Chaz Mostert has posted the quickest time through a wet and wild V8 Supercars practice session at Symmons Plains.

With steady rain, the short Tasmanian circuit presented a huge challenge for the Supercars field on Friday.

Fabian Coulthard said it was “like driving on an ice rink” and Volvo driver Scott McLaughlin proved it.
