Rain and wind played havoc with the second day of MotoGP pre-season testing in Jerez, Spain on Saturday in which Australian world champion Casey Stoner only succeeded in completing three laps.
Ducati duo Nicky Hayden and Karel Abraham were the only riders who succeeded in putting in some practice on slick tyres at the tail end of a session.
Hayden’s best mark of 1min 40.755 was over one second slower than the time Stoner set to top Friday’s standings.
Riders will be hoping for kinder conditions on the final day of testing on the Jerez circuit on Sunday, a fortnight before the 2012 season starts in Qatar.
