
Italian rider Andrea Iannone has put in a blistering late run on his factory Suzuki to post the quickest time in second practice at the Australian MotoGP.
Local hope Jack Miller (Pramac Racing Ducati) was second quickest in the first session around the Phillip Island circuit on Friday but slipped back to eighth in second practice.
Newly-crowned world champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) slid off in the first session and was seventh at the end of a second practice in which British rider Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda) took a nasty tumble and was taken from the track on a stretcher.
