Lewis Hamilton has won the Formula One Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday.
He is the seventh different winner in the first seven races of the season – an unprecedented display of parity on the F1 circuit.
Romain Grosjean in a Lotus was second behind the McLaren and Sergio Perez in a Sauber was third, followed by Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel.
The safety car did not come out during the race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. This year marked the 30th anniversary of the crash that killed Villeneuve, the city’s beloved Formula One driver.
There was no sign of disruption from student protesters who threatened to upstage the event because of tuition and fee increases.
