Grosjean grid penalty for Belgian F1 GP

SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium, Aug 22 AFP – Russian Daniil Kvyat and Frenchman Romain Grosjean on Saturday joined the growing list of drivers handed reprimands and penalties at the Belgian Grand Prix.

Kvyat was reprimanded when he was given an unsafe release by Red Bull into the pit lane during second free practice on Friday as Brazilian Felipe Massa approached in his Williams.

The stewards deemed Kvyat was not paying enough attention and gave him his second reprimand of the season.

Red Bull were fined 10,000 euros ($A15,300).

Grosjean faces a five-place grid penalty after the gearbox on his Lotus car was changed.

He was also reprimanded on Friday for driving slowly and blocking German Nico Hulkenberg of Force India during second practice.
