Ford’s Will Davison has secured his second pole position of the weekend at the V8 Supercars event in Darwin.
Davison, who started Saturday’s 120km race from pole, will be on the front row of the grid for Sunday’s 200km event alongside teammate Mark Winterbottom.
The 2009 Bathurst winner, just two points behind Holden’s Jamie Whincup in the title standings, clocked a best lap of one minute, 08.5004 seconds at the Hidden Valley Raceway.
Winterbottom, battling a virus, was second with a 1:08.6695 while Ford Performance Racing’s other driver, David Reynolds, qualified third with a 1:08.8454.
Whincup, who won Saturday’s race ahead of Davison and Winterbottom, will start Sunday’s event in fourth position while teammate Craig Lowndes is in sixth.
The 69-lap race begins at 3.05pm (1535 AEST).
