Dani Pedrosa has posted the fastest lap in Friday’s MotoGP practice for the Czech Grand Prix.
The Spaniard, riding a Honda, covered the 5.4km Brno circuit in 1 minute, 56.858 seconds.
World championship leader Jorge Lorenzo finished second on his Yamaha in 1:56.911 and another Yamaha rider Andrea Dovizioso was third in 1:57.055.
Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday and the race is on Sunday.
Pedrosa’s Honda teammate, defending overall champion Casey Stoner, was forced to pull out of the race due to an ankle injury and will undergo surgery next week.
Lorenzo leads the overall standings with 225 points, followed by Pedrosa with 207 and Stoner on 186.
