Ford driver Chaz Mostert has claimed his eighth pole position of the year for Sunday’s 200km V8 Supercars race at Queensland Raceway.
The Prodrive Racing Australia star secured his second pole of the weekend by posting a fastest lap 1min09.7326secs in Sunday’s 20-minute qualifying session.
Teammate Mark Winterbottom was 0.1035secs behind and will start the race in second position.
That’s the same grid spot Winterbottom occupied for both of Saturday’s 20-minute sprint races which the championship leader went on to win.
Championship rival Craig Lowndes will start third alongside teammate Jamie Whincup.
Sunday’s 65-lap race starts at 2.10pm.
